Use the Flapping feature to spot alarms with fluctuating status!
The Bagot feature provides a mechanism for tracking status oscillations, used to identify a number of status changes for a given period and alarm family.
An alarm inherits this status when it oscillates from an alert criticality to a stable state a certain number of times over a given period.
The following parameters are required when creating a flapping rule:
- The period over which oscillations are observed
- Rule application priority in ascending order
- The number of criticality oscillations to be observed before switching to status
- The rule description
- Alarms or entities to which the rule applies (patterns)
For more information on the Bagot feature and many others in our open source hypervision solution, please see the Canopsis documentation. Any unanswered questions? You can also contact our technical team via the contact form.
