Last Thursday, February 18, 2021, we had the opportunity to present the solution and its new features at an exclusive discovery event: Canopsis 4 Webinar.
Hosted by Mikaël Mourcia, Technical Director, and Armand Dissaux, Branch Manager, the event brought together some fifty people for just overan hour of discussion.
Weren’t you there? Here’s a quick report!
Discovery of the solution at the Canopsis 4 webinar
After a short presentation of Capensis, Armand and Mikaël first focused on the challenges facing an IS in need of hypervision and the factual advantages of implementing the platform.
Then it’s time to take a look at how Canopsis works in general:
- Information centralization via two methods: RabbitMQ data bus and Canopsis HTTP API
- Data processing and transformation: bus-subscribed engines (parallelization option on Pro Edition)
- Delivering information to the right people: intuitive widgets (Service Weather, Alarm List, Counters) and customized access (secure APIs, granular rights).
and the roadmap, with short and medium-term developments:
- Service modeling (2021)
- Web scenarios (2021)
- Chain of actions (2021)
- Chatbot / Virtual conversation agent
Last but not least, Armand presented Canopsis Pro Edition commercial offer.
After theory, it’s time for practice!
Canopsis demonstration
First of all, Mikaël gave an update on access to the administration interface. Boosted by the rewriting and securing of APIs, rights can now be positioned very precisely.
Go to the “Engines” page to discover the mapping of the powertrain chain. Very useful for identifying which engines and processes each event passes through!
He then turned his attention to Service Weather and the Alarm Counters tools. The latter presents an condensed view of alarms that can be customized according to user needs and rights.
Then, discover the Alarm List with a zoom on the Timeline tool (complete history of an alarm) and on Correlation module (grouping of alarms).
Mikaël also explained the new features of the Planning function, in particular the customization of periodic behaviors.
Finally, focus on the star of Canopsis 4, the Remediation with an example of an automated resolution.
