Remediation: Optimize alarm management and resolution
- Exclusive to Canopsis Pro Edition
A hot topic at the moment, remediation can be defined as “an action plan implemented to correct a situation”.
While V3 relied on third-party instruction tools, V4 goes a step further by offering an interactive remediation module. Remediation interfaces perfectly with leading tools such as Rundeck and AWX/Ansible.

The instructions are now hosted by Canopsis V4 and present an intuitive, streamlined procedure for each of the alarms defined. They minimize the risk of error and ensure that the procedure is followed to the very last action, using factual indicators.
Better still, the automation of certain jobs optimizes alarm resolution time!

Designed with interoperability in mind, Canopsis provides your softwares (i.e. Business Intelligence) with all the data collected: guideline repository, execution times, alarm-instruction coverage rate, etc. The platform thus consolidates its position as a Control Tower, becoming “THE” guideline reference for the entire IS.
Remediation is also part of a team participation approach. They can:
- Identify alarms without instructions,
- Evaluate the instructions after each resolution,
- and propose new ones.

Planning: Feature redesign and event customization in Canopsis V4

In line with the performance enhancement begun in 2020 with multi-instantiation (parallelization) of engines, the periodic behaviors (or pbehaviors) functionality has been completely redesigned. Renamed “Planning”, it can handle very high event traffic.

Reliability and speed are the watchwords of this redesign. The feature now allows periodic behavior to be processed almost instantaneously. No more delays between order and delivery!

Planning also offers the possibility of customizing pbehavior settings. It is now possible to create your own types of periodic behavior in Canopsis V4, in addition to the traditional service, maintenance and pause ranges.

Rewriting and securing APIs in Canopsis V4: Between performance and flow control

API rewriting improves execution times and boosts overall solution performance.
Access and order placement in Canopsis can now be positioned to the exact API and operation. This granularity is already active on new functions (Remediation and Planning) and will be extended to existing APIs during future version upgrades.
